The staff was incredibly helpful, meeting us at the train station and even assisting us with bus tickets to Machu Picchu, which made our arrival seamless.
Unfortunately, the room had a slight damp odor that lingered, which could be off-putting, especially after a long day of hiking.

rooftop bar with spectacular view, proximity to main Machu Picchu office, reasonable value for money
The reception was often unmanned, causing confusion!!! The room design with the curtain instead of a bathroom door was uncomfortable and allowed smells to linger!!! The damp odor and leak outside the bathroom door certainly need attention!!!

The great and the meh
Staff went above and beyond! They even returned my lost phone, which was a huge relief. Plus, breakfast starts at 05:00, perfect for early adventures.
The room was basic, more akin to a budget motel than described, leaving a bit to be desired in comfort.

the room was open when I arrived, how charming. the drain was clogged so I had to wait for a strong-smelling employee to clean it at midnight, lovely touch. expected a room upgrade due to my inconvenience but apparently that’s too much to ask for. I almost gave a good review, but just couldn’t.

Great place with great wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a cozy bar/lounge area. I still remember when the staff offered me a hot drink during my first stay. Make sure to try the eggs at breakfast!

Couple comfort seekers
We had the Superior King Room which was spacious and clean! the bed was king size and really comfy, I mean, it felt good after a long day on my feet.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but you know, for what you get, it was fine.

We enjoyed our stay with two adult kids! The staff were professional and really accommodating, even arranging for our bus tickets to Machu Picchu without us having to ask. The breakfast was delicious and gave us the energy we needed for our adventures.
In my wife’s opinion, a later breakfast option would be great for families.

The spacious room provided comfortable lodging for our family of four, and the friendly staff were genuinely eager to help, including meeting us at the train station and accommodating our baggage needs. Breakfast was an early affair, featuring a delightful variety that energized us for a day of exploring. While the uphill location was slightly misleading, the proximity to key sites and the breathtaking mountain views from the rooftop restaurant effectively made up for it.

I had a lovely stay in a double room with a mountain view, where the breakfast was super tasty and they even started it early for us. The relaxation options, like a sun terrace and a cozy TV room, made our downtime enjoyable. Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty, but it didn’t ruin our experience at all. I'd definitely recommend staying here! 😊
